    Don't be confused if you hear people refer to LeGrand's Market & Catering as "Binder's Market." The LeGrand family has owned the store since 1987, but the location has housed small grocery markets since 1936, which is also symbolized by the iconic "Tom-Boy" sign out front. In a nod to the neighborhood's diversity, LeGrand's carries Polish kluski noodles, German dumplings, and other ethnic specialties. People wait in line to order one of 50 different sandwiches available at the incredible deli counter. No time to cook? LeGrand's offers a comprehensive variety of catering options. Hours are 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. weekdays, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Saturday, and 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Sunday.

  • DiGregorio's Italian Market - 5200 Daggett Ave., St. Louis, MO 63110
    Throughout history, Italy has been known around the world for its flavorful cuisine. If it's part of Italian cooking, you'll find it at DiGregorio's Italian Market. The family-owned store was founded in 1971 by patriarch Salvatore "Sam" DiGregorio, who emigrated from Sicily by way of Belgium in 1954. More than 75 varieties of meats, cheeses, and olives fill the impressive deli counter. In addition, the pasta department features upwards of 45 shapes and flavors, including gluten-free selections. DiGregorio's is open 8 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. every day but Sunday.

  • Parker's Table at Oakland & Yale - 7118 Oakland Ave., St. Louis, MO 63117
    Conveniently, Parker's Table at Oakland & Yale includes their address right in their name. In their own words, Parker's Table aims to satisfy the customer who believes that "high quality wine and food are a daily necessity." Their shelves are filled with artisanal pastas, small-batch chocolates, premium beers and wines, and other gourmet food products sourced locally and globally. For an elegant event, hold your party in the Oakland Room with an onsite chef and cheesemonger. Hours are 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

  • Soulard Farmers Market - 730 Carroll St., St. Louis, MO 63104
    With roots extending back to 1779, Soulard Farmers Market is the largest and longest-running farmers market west of the Mississippi. The current market's namesake, Julia Cerré Soulard, donated the property to the city under the provision that it remain a public marketplace. Products include meats and seafood, produce, baked goods, spices and herbs, sauces, and coffee and tea. Many of the vendor stalls are held by leases that have been passed down through several generations. Market hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Friday, and 7 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Sunday year-round.
