Order a Milkshake Around St. Louis | RedKey Realty Leaders

When it comes to celebrating the joys of luscious, creamy milkshakes, one day simply isn't enough. Join us in observing September as Shake Month at these wonderful shops near St. Louis homes for sale.

  • Bella's Sweet Treats & Boozy Shake Shop -  1021 Washington Ave., St. Louis, MO 63101
Out with the grown-ups, but you're all feeling like kids? Head over to Bella's Sweet Treats & Boozy Shake Shop for an adult spin on a traditional favorite. Try creative flavors like Cinnamon Toast Crunch, spiked with Rum Chata and Fireball, or Turtle Butter Cake, featuring chocolate and caramel liqueurs. With froyo, Dole whip, and other tasty options, pet-friendly Bella's still fits into a family outing. Hours are 2 - 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

  • Crown Candy Kitchen - 1401 St. Louis Ave., St. Louis, MO 63106
With the retro decor, old-school soda fountain, and display cases of nostalgic "penny candy," Crown Candy Kitchen is a trip back in time. The family-owned shop, which dates back to 1913, is known for its 24-ounce shakes and malts, including the signature Johnny Rabbit, a banana malt with whipped cream, nuts, and nutmeg. Enjoy your own 15 minutes of fame by finishing the 5-Malt Challenge. Consume five malts or shakes within 30 minutes and see your name added to the Wall of Winners. Crown Candy Kitchen is open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.

  • St. Louis Union Station Soda Fountain - 201 S. 18th St., St. Louis, MO 63103
While it may be tempting to think you can live on ice cream alone, every now and then you need something more. St. Louis Union Station Soda Fountain serves a diner-style menu of comfort food classics, like grilled cheese and BLTs, that pair well with their milkshakes. Union Station adds a modern touch by offering a rotating selection of vegan ice cream options. Their Everything But ... "freak shake" is nearly a full meal, containing chocolate-covered pretzels, potato chips, a brownie, and a peanut butter cup. Hours are 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. daily.

  • Hi-Pointe Drive-In - 1033 McCausland Ave., St. Louis, MO 63117
The Hi-Pointe Drive-In combines a 1980s local favorite with 2020s sensibilities. A classic menu of burgers, sandwiches, and salads is supplemented with inventive, turbo-charged daily specials. One recent example is Crab Wagyoon, a wonton-wrapped Wagyu beef hot dog filled with garlic-chive cream cheese and crab meat, then deep-fried and served with a side of cocktail steak sauce. Be sure to ask about the current Shake of the Week. Hours are 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Sunday.

  • Baileys' Range - 4175 Shaw Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63110
Baileys' Range is brought to you by the same owners who gave St. Louis Baileys' Chocolate Bar, so these folks know their sweets. Their savory game is also strong, typified by their weekly Burger Battle. Two unique burger styles go head-to-head, with the one generating the most orders moving on to face a new challenger the following week. Homemade ice creams and sorbets include gourmet flavors such as blackberry-goat cheese and rhubarb & ginger. Order a large milkshake for a mash-up of your two favorite flavors. Baileys' Range is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.
