Walking Paths Around St. Louis | RedKey Realty Leaders

St. Louis is surrounded by natural beauty, and there are dozens of trails that allow you to immerse yourself in our scenic landscapes. Our real estate agents are busy mapping out all of their favorite walking paths because June happens to be Great Outdoors Month. We encourage you to use this opportunity to get out there and explore the picturesque parks across St. Louis and the Missouri countryside. If you're looking for some places to go for a walk, here are some spots we highly recommend.

  • St. Vincent Greenway - 7335 St. Charles Rock Rd., St. Louis, MO 63133
    Explore the lush and shady grounds of St. Vincent Park with this mostly flat 3.63-mile trail that connects to the University of Missouri St. Louis campus. The St. Vincent Greenway is full of natural beauty and has a nice mix of sun and shade. This well-maintained trail is a great place to walk your dog.

  • Forest Park Wheels and Heels Path - 5595 Grand Dr., St. Louis, MO 63112
    A 5.8-mile loop right outside of St. Louis makes for a moderately challenging walk. The Forest Park Wheels and Heels Path is a good place to snap some pictures of our beautiful local wildflowers. This trail surrounds Forest Park has both a gravel and a paved section and a total elevation gain of 184 feet. It takes about 1 hour and 50 minutes to walk the entire loop. Leashed dogs are welcome!

  • Grant's Trail - Leffingwell Avenue at Holmes Avenue, Kirkwood, MO 63122
    A very flat 10-mile rails-to-trails pathway, Grant's Trail begins near these Kirkwood homes for sale and ends at the River Des Peres Greenway. The trail is paved, making it a great place for biking and hiking. It's very well-maintained, and there are restrooms and water fountains along the trail. Dogs are permitted but must be on a leash that is 6 feet or less.

  • Tower Grove Park Tour - 4257 Northeast Dr., St. Louis, MO 63110
    Tower Grove Park Tour is a 3.4-mile loop trail in St. Louis that is flat, paved, and easy. Elevation is minimal, and it takes about 1 hour and 7 minutes to walk the entire thing. The trail will take you through Grove Park, where you'll see tons of natural beauty. The park is dog-friendly, and it even has some off-leash areas.   • White Bison Trail Loop - 1 Lone Elk Park Rd., Valley Park, MO 63088
    White Bison Trail Loop is a 3-mile trail not too far from St. Louis. The trail is moderately challenging—there is a bit of twisting and climbing. It's a popular place for hiking, running, birding, and photography. Dogs aren't permitted, but if you take the time to explore, you might just see some elk or bison near the trail.
